Glaucoma

A medical eye exam includes a medical history, update on any new eye problems you might be experiencing, and a detailed eye exam and a discussion of your eye condition with treatment recommendations (if problems are found). A medical eye exam does not include measurements for eyeglasses (vision visit).

A vision exam consists of a lifestyle history of how you use your vision and measurement of your eyeglass prescription—both for far and near. It does not include contact lens recommendations or refitting with a new type of contact lens. It does not address specific complaints or problems you might be having with the health of your eyes (aside from focusing and vision problems correctable with eyeglasses). It does include a screening exam for certain eye conditions, but does not include consultation services. A vision exam is not included as part of a medical eye exam.
Our optician would then make specific recommendations on what eyewear and lenses would best meet your fashion and vision needs.

A contact lens visit involves measurements for your contact lens prescription and fitting you with new lenses, or recommendations regarding your current lenses.

A combination visit consists of two or more of the above.
